The red airbag light that normally goes off when you start your engine wont go off, it just keeps flashing!? Does anyone know how to fix this?

take it to Mr T or any garage that does MOTs and ask to use the device that plugs into your car to tell you the problems. cant remember what its called. They will be able to tell you whats wrong and then turn that light off

Have you had something under one of the front seats? mine did this and the wire under the drivers seat had been caught. So just check the connectors this sorted mine

Yep it means there's a problem with the airbags.

Check under both front seats and make sure the yellow connector is plugged into the seats.

I took the bulb out when we went to Dunsfold with the buckets in, wouldn't be so bad if it just stayed on not flashing away!

Lol, might have been a good idea for the ABS light on my mates mazda to flash as well, then maybe he wouldn't have skidded into the back of that car from ignoring the fact his ABS was cocked :p

Sorry to bring up an old thread but its started doing it again, there is nothing under the seats that i can see, and there i have had a good fiddle round with the wires and its still doing it. Before i take it to a garage and get raped! Has anyone got any tips? or anyone wanna fix on the cheap?

mine keeps going off every now and again, did it at the weekend,
i put it down to having to keep moving the passengers seat to put little one in the back.
The normal fiddle of the wire did'nt work this time so un clipped the connector and the clip that holds the plastic conduit onto the connector and found that this wasn't very secure
so made sure this was well pushed in and recliped it ,alot more solid now so see how long it lasts this time
Hope this helps

I've had issues with mine recently but I've got the TRD airbag things. I just pushed it in the yellow thing as hard as it would go.

My light comes on once in awhile even though there are no objects under the driver seat that would interfere with the yellow plug. Every time it comes on, I switch off the engine, get out the car and go down on my knees. Reach for the plug under the driver seat and give it a bit of a wiggle. Light goes off.

Well it's fixed now :) is this a common problem with p2s? Mine must have been from moving the passenger seat as I gave it a wiggle and it went off after I started it again

It happened in my P1 now and again but I had the TRD things because I had Recaro seats.
