1.5 Engine In Other Markets.

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Not a great write up but perhaps Toyota could consider a warmer hatch than the SR and drop the 1.5 into the model range, looks like the same spec as the T-Sports.

Cheers

Davy

yep it's the same 1nz-fe engine that has been in the mk1 Tsport.
It has been used across the world in the US on the mk2 yaris and in the mk2 vitz RS in Japan.
it is again being used in the mk3.

However due to emission laws in Europe it will never be used here. hence the mk2 yaris had the 1.8 dual vvti.

but i think they may start to introduce a sporty model with direct injection and or turbo, probably on a 1.0 or 1.33 engine.

the above is probably whats coming they are gonna have to go direct injection on their petrol engines and the whole fleet cant stay hybred.
hopefully once the 86 is released too success :D
then a new sporty range will come through, with turbo's :D :D
