They used to steal them and put them on there cars and if the scraped then it meant there car was low! I'm JDM haha

Have you though about folding and then pulling the arches to stop them from scrubbing?

So recently I did some more work on the wagon with some surprises left in store ;-)

Yesterday this happened... The valve decided it didn't want to hold any air anymore and decided to deflate and I didnt notice and ruined the side wall of my tyre which isn't even a month old >:(

Also in other news I now own this...

In this update i have finally got round to doing some engine bay mods, just to tidy it up :)

I took the rocker cover from the salmon and clean it, sprayed it with a high temp grey paint first then some normal purple spray...

I also bought a trust air intake from a lad on the TOC-IRL forum...

It's a nice job, gives it a nice bark, pity about the elbow joint leaking :(

I've finally gotten round to making a set of bonnet dampers...

This one mod that i've wait for the most, i'd say :P

Since the last update, I've gotten myself some strut braces for the little 1 litre because Yolo :p

They aren't in the best of condition, but I just have them thrown on for now and when it gets drier and warmer I'll take them back off and do them properly...

And some new stickers...

I have also given the front a small change with the addition of a vitz badge, it's a nice change over the original toyota badge...

So it been 7 months since I last updated my thread on this forum... At the time I felt it was dying so I didn't bother to update but I think it's about time to do so...

So this is what she was like when I left the forum but oh how things have changed.

c69fcb151a581f4493f0982a34150157.jpg

In mid March '16, i picked up some new wheels as the tyre on the tsport rims where we'll passed there use so it made since to buy a new setup as I've been after a set of bandies for quite so time

April and I took the SSR out for there 6 months on the open road.

Mid April and I had sent away to be resprayed and had the sport kit fitted and now she's a totally different car altogether

This is only a small update I hope to finish it tomorrow

Thanks man 👍

So while my car was away for 2 weeks while being painted, I took on the task of preparing the SSR's for the new look.

Each wheel was unfolded, and had 2 layers of peek, 2 layers of meguiars extreme polish and 3 layers of chemical guys wheel guard applied to each wheel and then re-bolted... So to say it was time consuming is an understatement 😝

Next mod was an exhaust, 1.5 inch shotgun (with deact) 😁

Then it binned the stock 1 litre seats and sold the bucket seats I bought and got some Vitz Rs seat, there basically tsport but from.the jap import

ce3ba93431594e163bccd7c2c24fc8ad.jpg

Tasty little Vitz Rs arm rest 👌

That basically sums the while yaris build for now...
I have other plans in the pipe line but we'll have to wait and see how they turn out.

Over and out 👍

im in love with this build, i myself have a stock 1l, i cant find the body kit (the t sport) one anywhere, really hope i can find one!

with the mods to the engine, was their a noticeable power output? i know the 1l is pretty slugish (better than other 1l cars, corsas etc)

and do you still have the tein springs? i would be interested in buying them if so! im going to be running 16x6.5j wheels and will drop 38mm back and 35mm front as teh wheel arch gap is huge

I never really intended on getting a tsport kit I just happened to be talking to a guy who had one from when he broke his ts... Right place, right time kinda thing 😝

I didn't notice anything gains wise, it might of improved but not enough to notice but with the air intake on the stock exhaust it gave off a much nicer and deeper note but with the shotguns and the decat they just over power the induction noise, the 1 litre yaris was the most powerful na car back in the day with a huge 68bhp XD

Unfortunately not I sold them after months of trying to get rid. The Springs were a great job they stiffened it but it was still comfortable maybe not for people in the back as she was a bit rough but no were near as bad as my coilovers but what do you expect 😝
