Mil Lamp - Code 22 - No Signal From Temp Sensor

Recommended Posts

First issue with my new chariot, EML was on when I got it, and found on here how to check the fault codes. Come up with 22, no signal from Coolant sensor. Easy enough to replace by looks of it, but I have noticed the blue temp light does come on on the dash, then goes off after a short run. Would that be normal if the sensor is faulted?

Ok, so replaced the coolant temp sensor (what a carry on - various car parts places supply the wrong one - a 2 pin unit, this is 3. correct part number is a cambiare VE375145 for reference if it has the triangular head).

Doesnt seem to be overfuelling anymore, and is a bit more responsive from cold. the mil lamp still on though. pulled the EFI fuse for 10 mins to reset as seen on the thread here, but no change there either. still getting code 22 when bridging the OBD pins.
