80,000 mile service, what needs to be done?

Recommended Posts

Easy guys, will be doing a full service on the Tsport when she hits 80k. I was originally going to stick the Toyota Oil in, but then speaking to my mate with a CTR he said maybe go for something better such as Fuchs as its a reasonable price and meant to be very good.

The kind of driving i do is often short runs, town driving....Sometimes dual carriages ways/M1

I always let it warm up, even when the light goes off i still give it another 10-20mins before i take it over 3000rpm.

I am looking at these oils;

https://www.opieoils.co.uk/product-finder/car/engine-oil/toyota/2001/yaris/PETROL/yaris/32945/product-finder-2.aspx

Fuchs TITAN XTR, Motul 8100 Eco-nergy & Millers Oils XSS in particular.

Which one do you guys think will be best out of those three.

Also can you buy magnetic sump bolts for the Tsport?

Thanks! :)

Easy guys, i know what engine oil i am going for and what oil filter. But was wondering what needs to be done at 80,000?

So far i have got this list;

Fuchs engine oil
Toyota OEM oil filter
Toyota panel filter/or aftermarket if its a decent price.
Fuchs gearbox oil - Does anyone know how much the TS needs?
Replacing spark plugs with NGKs.
Brake fluid - Ill do that with next month pay packet/replace discs and pads!

What else needs to be done?

Fuel filters a long life thing built into the tank, so shouln't need replacing. Just need a couple of litres of 75/90w for your box.

Matty, would you just use Castrol gear box oil? I could do with doing mine, as I dont know when if at all its been done, and Im approaching 50k, so I might give it a go.
